Sophomore Year Checklist:

 

1. Continue the conversation about college preferences

• Does my GPA match their requirements?

• Do they have organizations on campus that I would be interested in?

• What kind of student support services are available?

 

2. Begin standardized test prep

• All students have the opportunity to take the ACT for FREE their junior year, begin prep as early as possible

• Create SAT and ACT students accounts for on-line prep opportunities

 

3. Find summer programs to participate in

• Look for programs that will prepare you for your career interest

• Even if the program is not offered at your college of choice, still do it! These kinds of opportunities look good on college apps.

• Stay connected with camp counselors, they may be a source for a letter of recommendation.
