Freshman Year Checklist:

 

 

1. Begin the conversation about college.

• Do you know what you want to study?

• How far away from home do you want to be?

• Big school or small school?

• Is it affordable for my family and I?

 

2. Take rigorous classes!

• Colleges like to see that you have challenged yourself

• Take as many AP/Honors courses that you can handle

 

3. Get involved!!!

• Find extra curricular activities that you enjoy (i.e. sports, Honors Society, working, choir, etc.)

• Have a diverse range of activities that you are involved in

• Become a leader in those clubs

 

4. Get a folder or notebook that you can keep a list of your extra curricular activities in, as well as any rewards or recognitions you get over the next 4 years.

 

You have conquered freshman year!
